By 2029, the company seeks to achieve a turnover of $1.127 billion and a gross profit of $324 million
EOS-X SPACE, Europe’s first space exploration company, of Spanish origin, has announced its plans to start operating space flights in both Abu Dhabi and Seville, the company’s headquarters in Spain, during the third quarter of 2025. Kemel Kharbachi, founder and CEO of EOS-X SPACE, announced that the company is finalizing the development of the spaceship capsules, the necessary validation tests, and the collaboration with the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA).
Space flights, a $9 billion industry
In total, the company will have invested more than $230 million in engineering and development in both Spain and Abu Dhabi. EOS-X SPACE is now gearing up for a decisive second half of 2024 to finalize its launch in the emerging industry, which currently stands at a market worth over $9 billion in revenue.
Abu Dhabi will host EOS-X SPACE’s most ambitious complex globally. The company announced that the Abu Dhabi facility will feature not only the shuttle and the spaceport but also the most significant hotel complex on Yas Island. The Spanish space company plans to launch its third facility in Tulum, Mexico, by 2026.
Sustainable and safe travel experience
EOS-X SPACE’s project started in 2020 and has notable differences compared to other space tourism companies. EOS-X SPACE’s pressurized capsules, with a capacity of eight people (including a pilot), are propelled by a non-polluting helium balloon. In addition, they reach the limits of the stratosphere at an altitude of 40,000 meters, allowing their space tourists to enjoy superb views for five hours.
The price per passenger will range between 150,000 and 200,000 euros. In addition, EOS-X SPACE will have a SpaceHub Complex in La Isla de la Cartuja (Seville) in Spain where it will develop immersive experiences. In addition to Abu Dhabi, EOS-X SPACE will launch an ultra-luxury hotel in the province of Seville where customers will enjoy pioneering treatments and experiences.
