H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), has approved the launch of the next phase of the ‘Dubai Future Solutions’ initiative.
The ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative will be overseen by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).
The initiative further aims to boost the development and implementation of innovative prototypes and pilot models, delivering transformative solutions from Dubai to the world. In addition, it builds on the successes of the ‘Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative over the past nine years, which has worked to advance innovation for the betterment of humanity.
Cooperation agreement with Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Dubai Future Foundation and the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation (HSDF), pledging AED100 million to support innovation and technology in Dubai and the UAE. This agreement makes HSDF a strategic partner of the initiative.

Transforming Dubai into a global innovation hub
Additionally, Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that the initiative serves as a platform to support innovators and designers of future solutions globally, nurturing top talent and creative thinkers across future-oriented sectors. This aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into a global innovation hub.

Enhancing international collaborations
Moreover, H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed stated that the initiative’s objectives are to cultivate strategic partnerships, enhance international collaborations, and accelerate the advancement of new technologies and innovations. An annual event will be hosted in the Dubai Future District to showcase the top 100 innovations from the initiative.
Supporting the initiative through national programs
The Dubai Future Foundation will further support this initiative through national programs like the Dubai Research and Development Program and the Dubai Robotics and Automation Program. DFF will also promote entrepreneurship through AREA 2071 and the Dubai Future Accelerators.
Building on the success of ‘Prototypes for Humanity’
This announcement builds on the success of the ‘Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative, which has showcased hundreds of innovative projects from over 10,000 applications submitted by students from more than 700 universities worldwide. Furthermore, the initiative has been supported by its founding partners: Dubai Culture, DIFC, A.R.M Holding, and the Investment Corporation of Dubai.
