GITEX Global 2024 to return Dubai in October

GITEX Global 2024, the world’s largest tech event, has unveiled a new line-up of industry programs, cybersecurity experts and keynote speakers from leading global brands for the 44th edition of GITEX.

The tech event will take place from 14-18 October at Dubai World Trade Centre, in line with Dubai’s ambition to host 30 start-up unicorns by 2030. GITEX Global 2024, the region’s most influential event for driving strategy, aims to accelerate scale and governance for high-growth companies.

The cybersecurity will be the focal point of GITEX Global 2024, with real life stories, AI-driven hacks and fierce CISO debates. Chenxi Wang, Managing General Partner of Fortune 500 fund Rain Capital (US) and Ekaterina Serban, Vice President of Privacy and Information Security at Bosch (Germany) will make their debut at the world’s largest tech event.

Along with global VCs and investment partners, Wang will address the increasing global investment in advanced security solutions and surge in M&A activity in the cybersecurity. Serban will also join the conversation with CISOs and CIOs around corporate board engagement strategies for cybersecurity adoption.

Michael Spranger, the president of Sony AI Inc., will unveil the latest ongoing projects at Sony’s strategic research and development organization. Chris Duffer, Futurist, Head of GenStudio at Adobe and the coauthor of world’s first book on Al with AI, will also debut. Isabell Gradert, VP Central Research & Technology for Airbus in Germany, will make her first regional appearance at the tech event.

Tech Destination Pakistan, represented by Pakistan Software Export Board, has been named as ‘the Tech Destination of the year’ for 2024. Shazma Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT & Telecommunication, stated that the partnership shows their commitment to technology, innovation and global collaboration.

The early confirmed speaker list includes eight startups from eight counties, including three backed up by the European Innovation Council (EIC)

  • Synthetic Biotech: Dr. Alexander Zhavoronkov, Founder and CEO, InSilico Medicine (Hong Kong)
  • Sustainability Biotech: Dr. Mazen Rizk, Founder and CEO, Infinite Roots (Germany)
  • Quantum Deeptech: Dr. Joseph Fitzsimons, Founder and CEO, Horizon Quantum Computing (Singapore)
  • Semiconductor Deeptech: Dr. Sunghyun Park, Founder and CEO, Rebellions (South Korea)
  • Auto tech: Svilen Rangelov, Co-Founder and CEO, Dronamics (UK)
  • Emilio Scervo, Chief Technology Officer and Board Member, Buggati – Rimac (Croatia)
  • Semiconductor Supercomputing: Philippe Notton, Founder and CEO, SiPearl (France)
