Foodics Acquires Solo Venture and Invests in Three Startups

The MENA-based restaurant technology and payments company, Foodics, has acquired Solo Venture, which offers self-ordering technology and app solutions for restaurants.  

This recent acquisition marks a significant advance in enhancing digital ordering channels and integrating AI-driven solutions. Additionally, it will improve Foodics’ strategy and operational efficiency in the food and beverage (F&B) sector. 

Solo Venture specializes in self-service ordering technologies, allowing restaurants to expand sales channels and streamline operations.

Foodics has incorporated Solo’s technology into its platform to provide a more seamless experience for restaurants. This integration combines dine-in, online ordering, and payments into a single, unified system.

Foodics Invests Emerging Technologies

The company is investing in three different startups that focus on AI, data analytics, and supply chain solutions. One of these startups is Norma, an AI-driven data analytics firm that helps businesses understand customer behavior to make informed decisions.

The investment also includes Add, an integrated accounting system that simplifies financial reporting, and Arzaq Plus, a platform for supply chain management. 

Recently, the company allocated around $100 million for acquisitions and strategic investments over the next three years. It will be focusing on fintech, AI, and transformational technologies.
