Egypt’s major telecom companies, including Vodafone, Orange, and Etisalat have officially signed the second phase of 5G licenses. Mohamed Shamroukh, Chairman of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), announced that these companies will collectively contribute USD 675M to the state treasury. The firms have 60 to 90 days to secure the necessary funds to be paid in foreign currency.
