The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has selected Transfora as its digitalization partner for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE). This partnership aims to transform SCZONE into a global trade hub and adds to EBRD investments in Egypt, confirming its long-term interests in the country.

The multi-year contract with Transfora, funded by the EBRD, is a significant step in Egypt’s digital transformation strategy. Under the agreement, Transfora will implement a 360-degree enterprise management platform for managing investor inquiries and documentation. This platform will streamline the SCZONE’s services, enhancing the investment climate in Egypt.
Key Features of the Digital Platform BY EBRD
Transfora will facilitate the generation of reports and analytics while managing over 60 e-services available to investors. Agility Economic Zones will connect SCZONE authorities with investors, customs officials, and logistics providers, creating a comprehensive network for efficient operations.
Enhancing Efficiency Through Automation
Khalid Hamza, EBRD’s Director for Egypt, stated the collaboration represents a crucial milestone for attracting foreign direct investment and creating jobs. SCZONE Chairman Waleid Gamal El Dien emphasized the importance of digitizing services to foster a competitive investment environment.
Waleed Khoury, VP at Agility, noted that Transfora’s low-code platform is user-friendly and integrates seamlessly with existing systems. Agility Economic Zones has played a pivotal role in SCZONE’s modernization efforts, establishing customs and logistics centers within the zone.
This initiative aligns with global trends toward digitalization and efficiency in logistics, reflecting a growing focus on enhancing Egypt’s attractiveness as a business destination.
