International sports-focused streaming heavyweight DAZN has announced a new multi-year global partnership with the World Rally Championship (WRC) organizing body to distribute the Rally.TV over-the-top service.
Rally.TV, which is entering its second year as an active service for fans of the motor racing series, will be available on the DAZN platform as both a standalone service and an addition to existing DAZN subscriptions for users of the site. It first launched in June last year, having been mooted by the WRC in 2002.
The service will be distributed and marketed by DAZN as an add-on option in the 200+ sports markets which DAZN operates in.
Furthermore, content disseminated from Rally.TV will make up part of DAZN’s “freemium” offering, which includes selected live events, shoulder content, ancillary programming, and highlights from a range of sporting rights held by DAZN shown freely without a subscription.
Speaking on the deal, WRC promoter managing director Jona Siebel stated: “Teaming up with DAZN as a distribution partner offers us the ability to significantly increase the reach of our Rally.TV platform.
“As Rally.TV enters its second year now is the time to take the next step in building the reach of Rally.TV and this relationship with DAZN will assist us in achieving that.”

DAZN Group chief executive Shay Segev added: “This multi-year partnership with Rally.TV will create a global home for their exciting and compelling competitions, helping rally fans better access the sport they are so passionate about, while creating new engagement opportunities for WRC to access potential fans.
“This is the latest in a series of long-term channel deals that sees DAZN innovating and enhancing the way rights holders can increase exposure and develop their sport commercially and digitally.”
Rally.TV joins a number of other sports streaming services that are available on DAZN as add-on channels, including American football’s NFL Game Pass, golf’s PGA Tour Pass, and basketball governing body FIBA’s Courtside 1891 service.
