Mush Social Acquires Pubbles to Strengthen Digital Leadership

Mush Social, announced its full acquisition of Pubbles, one of the region’s social media applications. This follows the successful incubation of Pubbles under the Taqadam Accelerator program affiliated with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the Misk Launchpad initiative.

Acquistion

With the acquisition, Mush Social aims to expand its user base and reinforce its digital presence. Additionally, technical integration between the two platforms is set to begin within the next three months.

This acquisition comes after Mush Social secures USD 1.2 million in a Pre-Seed round led by Niftal Consulting alongside Nahr Al-Jazeera Holding and angel investors.

Social Media Platforms

Pubbles launched in 2020 with the aim of developing specialized, interactive virtual communities and innovative technologies. Thus, making it an attractive addition to Mush Social’s expansion strategy.

Mush Social is a next generation social networking platform with over 220 thousand users aiming to redefine interactions through real-time location based discovery, automatic translation in 15 languages and an immersive 3D map. The interactive map combines virtual assets with real time user interactions thus enabling users to explore people, events and trends nearby while fostering authentic connections. The platform aims to bridge digital and physical spaces whilst encouraging meaningful interactions and local engagement.
