G42, the UAE’s leading AI and cloud computing company, has teamed up with NVIDIA to advance climate technology by developing cutting-edge AI solutions.
The partnership aims to enhance the accuracy of global weather forecasting using NVIDIA’s Earth-2, an open platform that transforms climate and weather predictions with interactive, AI-augmented and high-resolution simulation. Both parties will initially focus on a square-kilometer resolution weather forecasting model.
Central to this initiative is the establishment of a new operational base and Climate Tech Lab in Abu Dhabi. This cutting-edge facility will act as a hub for research and development, enhancing their efforts to drive environmental sustainability. This facility will also develop tailored climate and weather solutions that leverage over 100 petabytes of geophysical data assets.
