Abu Dhabi’s TRENDS inaugurates 8th global office in Korea

Abu Dhabi’s TRENDS Research & Advisory has opened its eighth global office in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea.

The launching ceremony was held at the Seoul Office located at the Korea University campus in partnership with the University. Officials, researchers, academics, and university representatives attended the event.

The new office highlights TRENDS’ emphasis on advanced technology and AI as significant drivers of the global future. It aims to provide a platform for constructive scientific dialogue with the Korean academic community in technology and AI, focusing on the opportunities and challenges that AI creates for cybersecurity in the future.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stated in his inaugurating speech that the Seoul Office is an integral part of TRENDS’ global network, fostering scientific and intellectual exchange between researchers and experts.

Dr. Al-Ali also noted that the Seoul Office on the Korea University campus will feature a select group of specialized researchers and experts, primarily from the University, which has over 150 research institutes. This will provide a qualitative addition to the TRENDS research community, resulting in significant scientific studies to support TRENDS’ strategy as a global knowledge bridge.

Additionally, the TRENDS Seoul Office launched the book titled “Cybersecurity in the Age of AI” as its first activity. The book launch was done by Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council.

TRENDS Research & Advisory, established in 2014, strives to provide an insightful and informed view of global issues and challenges through a strategic lens. As an independent research center, TRENDS carries out specialized studies in the fields of international relations and political, economic and social sciences.
