Google Keep, the note-taking app by Google, is rolling out an AI-powered feature called ‘help me create a list’ on Android, to help users create shopping lists and to-do lists.

‘Help me create a list’ aims to allow users to generate a list based on their prompts. For example, when a user writes ‘create a list of packing essentials for hiking,’ this feature will automatically generate the list of essential hiking items. This also comes with an option to regenerate.

Google spokesperson commented that, “We’re excited to bring this innovative feature to Google Keep. By leveraging the power of AI, we’re making it easier than ever for users to create well-structured and informative lists.”

‘Help me create a list’ is powered by Gemini – Google’s family of large language models (LLMs), and is currently unveiling for Android users.  It was also previewed at the Made by Google event on August 13 where the new flagship Pixel 9 series was introduced.

To create a shopping list or to-do list, the user needs to simply enter prompt and tap ‘Create’, and the list will be automatically generated by the app. In addition to regenerate option, users can move to blank note to customize the list.

Google Note has been testing several features to roll out and enhance the user experience. In June, Google rolled out an exciting feature ‘multi-account support’ for Android tablets and foldables that helps users manage multiple accounts simultaneously in side-by-side windows. This feature improves workflow by eliminating the need to switch between apps or devices.
