Ooredoo and Cisco to modernize Qatar’s aviation industry

Ooredoo Qatar, the region’s leading telecommunications company, has entered into a strategic cooperation with Qatar Airways and Cisco to modernize the aviation sector.

This partnership will redefine the digital landscape of aviation industry through the implementation of hybrid cloud transformation. The project paves the way for unveiling advanced applications that will enhance the customer experience and business operation.

Ooredoo serves as a solid foundation for the integration of Cisco’s innovative networking, security, and cloud technologies to enhance and modernize Qatar’s aviation IT infrastructure. Ooredoo will work along with airline to move its data center to the cloud and design a customized hybrid cloud environment to improve operational efficiency, flexibility and scalability.

Cisco innovations in this initiative include Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), integrated with the full suite of Nexus dashboard solutions. All the Cisco data center solutions will be automated and delivered as a code via Cisco’s infrastructure
