Seamless Middle East, the Arab League renew strategic partnership to develop region’s digital economy

Following the resounding success of Seamless Middle East in 2023, the Arab League has once again reaffirmed its strategic partnership with the event. Seamless Middle East is the foremost gathering for payments, fintech, retail, e-commerce, home delivery and digital marketing in the region. It continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the digital economy across the Arab world. Under the patronage of Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the event aims to foster collaboration, innovation and growth in the digital landscape.

Recognizing the significance of seamless payment systems, fintech innovation, and digital transformation in shaping the future, the partnership serves as a catalyst for progress and advancement in the region’s digital ecosystem.

Promoting digital economy

Commenting on Seamless Middle East’s collaboration with the Arab League, Joseph Ridley, general manager at Terrapinn Middle East emphasized the importance of this long-term partnership. “The Arab League is working hard to make the digital economy across the Arab world flourish.” He also emphasized that this is a common goal that both parties aim to promote during Seamless Middle East.

For his part, Dr. Ali M. Al Khouri, advisor of the Arab Economic Unity Council, chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and member of the Executive Office of Specialized Federations in the Arab League highlighted the value of the partnership. Al-Khouri added that Seamless Middle East serves as a platform to promote the digital economy across the region. Moreover, it is a platform to share the vision for taking the Arab world into the future. He added that the Arab League will partake in engaging discussions with other industry-leading professionals and make pivotal announcements. “We will also be announcing the Arab Digital Economy Index 2024,” he added. This index aims to shape the future of the digital landscape across the Arab world.

This year, Seamless Middle East will take place from May 14 to May 16 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
