Emirates, flydubai and Air Arabia have resumed check-in services for flights departing Dubai International Airport (DXB), Terminal 3 and Sharjah Airport, respectively as of Thursday morning, following unprecedented weather conditions that led to significant disruptions earlier this week.

Emirates reopens check-In services

Emirates announced the reopening of check-in services for departing flights from Dubai at 9 am on Thursday morning.

Customers were advised to proceed to the airport only if they had a confirmed flight booking due to the ongoing congestion at the airport terminal.

In a statement on social media, the airline assured passengers that efforts were underway to restore scheduled operations and provide necessary assistance to affected travelers.

flydubai follows suit

flydubai also reinstated its check-in services on Thursday, aligning with Emirates’ decision.

The move aimed to facilitate smoother travel experiences for passengers amidst the challenging circumstances.

Air Arabia begins Sharjah operations

Air Arabia notified its passengers that it had resumed operations from Sharjah Airport on Thursday morning.

It notified travellers of the refund process for cancelled flights via its social media account on Twitter.

Airport advisory

Dubai Airport urged travelers to exercise caution and visit the terminal only if they had received confirmation of their flight departure from their respective airlines.

Earlier on Thursday morning it announced the resumption of flights but emphasised the need for travellers to confirm their departure before arriving at Terminal 1.

While check-in services have resumed, operational challenges persist at DXB due to heavy rains experienced earlier in the week.

Passengers are advised to stay updated on their flight status by contacting their respective airlines for the latest information and guidance.
