Host Broadcast Services (HBS), the television production company owned by international sports marketing agency Infront, has been appointed by South American soccer’s governing body Conmebol for this year’s Copa America national teams competition.
HBS will serve as the host broadcaster for the tournament taking place in the US, adding to its soccer portfolio.
This marks the second occasion that HBS will have provided host broadcaster coverage of the event, following the Copa América Centenario in 2016. This year’s edition begins on June 20, with the final taking place on July 14.
The company has tie-ups with several soccer bodies including FIFA, Europe’s UEFA, and North and Central America’s Concacaf.
Monserrat Jimenez, Conmebol’s deputy secretary general and general legal counsel, said: “HBS’ dedication to elevating football coverage globally is unquestionable. Its selection as our host broadcaster for Copa América USA 2024 underscores its proven expertise in delivering top-tier productions.”
Dan Miodownik, HBS chief executive, added: “The attention of the world will be on Conmebol’s top stars and, as such, world-class production and project management is required. That is where Conmebol has put their trust in our track record.”
