Dubai Government departments have been directed to allow employees to work from home as the UAE braces for rain and thunderstorms starting Tuesday, April 16.
Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan made the announcement on various social media platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn.
He also announced that all private schools in Dubai have been ordered to conduct remote learning for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16, due to unstable weather conditions.
Heavy rain forecast for UAE
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued alerts confirming the likelihood of lightning, thunder, and even hail in certain areas, urging residents to exercise caution.
According to forecasts, heavy rainfall is expected to sweep across the country, raising concerns of potential flooding in low-lying areas.
