An Abu Dhabi printing and security provider has signed contracts to supply identity cards and driving licences to three countries in Africa and Latin America.
E7 Group said in an ADX bourse filing on March 26 that it had signed contracts valued at AED 13 million ($3.5 million) to manufacture and supply the identification cards and licences.
It did not name the countries involved in the contracts.
The company, which is part of holding company ADQ, said its security division is the primary growth engine for the group and is also exploring opportunities in biometrics and digital identity.
The group also aims to “capture a larger share of the value chain”, according to E7 CEO Ali Saif Ali Abdulla Alnuaimi.

Previously known as United Printing and Publishing, E7 Group underwent a rebranding last year and debuted on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange through the UAE’s inaugural special purpose acquisition company (Spac) deal.
The company designs and produces national IDs, passports and other security documents for governments, telecoms companies and banks in 25 countries.
In its latest financial report for 2023, the group posted an 11 percent increase in annual revenue, reaching AED 651 million, alongside a 106 percent rise in operational net profit to AED 140 million, closing the year with AED 1 billion in cash reserves.
