Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and London-headquartered Formula E will jointly build multiple Formula E-branded indoor karting venues across the kingdom.

The Formula E karting attractions are set to be built at four of Seven entertainment destinations in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha. Each attraction will offer a diverse selection of adult, junior, and dual karts. The tracks will exceed 400 meters in length.

“Our strategic partnership with Formula E to bring never-seen-before Formula E branded racing tracks within our entertainment destinations complements our mission of creating a multiverse of entertainment offerings,” said Abdulla Nasser AlDawood, chairman of Seven.

Seven said last week it will open the first of 21 destinations next year as part of its mandate to build entertainment complexes in remote corners of the country, AGBI reported earlier. It plans to roll them out over the next six years.

“Our mandate is a pretty diverse one – to bring entertainment to far-flung areas of Saudi Arabia,” Damien Latham, chief attraction officer at Seven said on the sidelines of an IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit in Abu Dhabi.

“It’s 14 different cities. There are cultural nuances to each of those cities that we need to take on board and reflect in our design thinking,” he added.

Seven is investing more than SAR50 billion ($13.33 billion) to build upcoming projects are located in 14 cities across the kingdom: Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam, Khobar, Al .Ahsa, Madinah, Yanbu, Abha, Jizan, Buraidah and Tabuk.
